Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Feng Shui AR iOS app, made by ZET Studios. They are written to be read. Using the app means you accept them.

1. What the app is

Feng Shui AR maps the rooms of a home with your iPhone or iPad's camera, starting from the front door, and gives a form-school Feng Shui reading of the layout: entrance, circulation, blockages, sharp corners, the command position of a bed or desk, and a Bagua map by entrance or by compass. It shows the flow path from the main entrance, suggests furniture and placement changes with AR previews, and gives a Home Flow Score. It also calculates BaZi (Four Pillars) readings from birth details.

2. An interpretation, not a measurement

Feng Shui and BaZi are traditional interpretive practices. Feng Shui AR applies their rules to your floor plan and your birth details. It does not scientifically detect "qi" or any energy, and its scores, readings and recommendations are interpretations, not measurements or predictions.

Nothing in the app is medical, financial, legal, psychological, or structural or building advice. Do not rely on it for decisions about your health, money, legal position, or the safety or structure of a building — ask a qualified professional.

3. Scanning safely

Scanning means walking through a room while looking at your phone. Watch where you are going, keep clear of stairs and obstacles, and don't scan anywhere you are not allowed to be. Floor plans produced by a scan are approximate and are not survey measurements.

4. Your data stays on your device

Your homes, floor plans, birth details and readings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad — there is no account and no server copy. As described in the Privacy Policy, that means if you delete something, or delete the app, it is gone and we cannot recover it.

If you scan someone else's home or create a reading for another person, make sure they are happy for you to do so.

5. Free version and purchases

The free version lets you analyse the first room of a home, with limited analysis, one BaZi profile plus one other person, a basic daily reading, and advertising. Two ways to unlock more:

  • Feng Shui AR Pro — an auto-renewing subscription at $9.99 USD per month or $39.99 USD per year. Prices are localised by the App Store and shown in your currency before you confirm.
  • Complete home analysis — a one-time purchase of $14.99 USD that unlocks the complete analysis for one home. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Pro subscribers, and anyone who has made the one-time purchase, see no ads.

6. Subscription terms

  • Each Pro plan includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you started one.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Purchases can be restored on the same Apple ID with "Restore Purchases" in the app.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID that made the purchase. We have no ability to issue a refund on Apple's behalf.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, don't scan or record places or people without permission, don't try to interfere with or reverse-engineer the app or its services, and don't resell or redistribute its content.

9. Availability

The app is provided "as is". We try to keep it working but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that scanning features are available on every iPhone and iPad model.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ZET Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including any decision you make based on a reading, score or recommendation. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Apple

These terms sit alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store's terms. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

12. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete it whenever you like. We may stop offering the app; if we do, anything already on your device stays there until you remove it.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, the app will tell you rather than quietly updating this page.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
